SP. “Thinks he’s Messi too ignoring Palmer”, “Shouldn’t be starting games” – Chelsea fans furious with star’s performance in 2-1 loss to Fulham

Chelsea fans on X have blasted Jadon Sancho after his poor performance during their 2-1 defeat against Fulham. The Blues suffered their first defeat to the Cottagers since 1979 in their Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, December 26.

Cole Palmer broke the deadlock for Chelsea in the 16th minute with a tidy finish into the bottom-left corner. Levi Colwill thought he had doubled their advantage shortly after the break but his effort was ruled out due to an offside.

Fulham rallied back for the remainder of the second half and showed great intent going forward. Their persistence paid off in the 82nd minute after Harry Wilson netted from close range. Rodrigo Muniz then finished well into the bottom-right corner (90+5′) from a brilliant counter-attack to ensure the visitors secured all three points.

Sancho played all 90 minutes of the game on the left wing. However, the 24-year-old struggled, creating zero chances, completing no accurate crosses from two attempts, and losing two duels. He also had a big chance to score towards the end of the second half but his shot was well-saved by Bernd Leno.

One Chelsea fan posted:

“Neto wasn’t dreadful, Sancho was and shouldn’t be starting games”

Another fan tweeted:

“Borderline disgraceful this performance from Sancho. Hasn’t taken on his man a single time”

Other fans reacted below:

“HOW HAS SANCHO PLAYED 90 MINITES HOWWWWWWWWW HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW HOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW HOWWWWWWWWWWWW,” one fan questioned

“Thinks he’s messi too ignoring palmer lol,” another fan commented

“Sancho without playing against a low block is too funny to watch sometimes,” another added

“Sancho is soooooooooooooo underwhelming, just get felix in that position,” another insisted
