Liverpool fans have on X have waxed lyrical about Mohamed Salah after he gave an outstanding performance during their 6-3 win against Tottenham Hotspur. The two sides played out a Premier League classic at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, December 22.

The Reds dominated early on with Salah’s effort crashing against the crossbar. Luis Diaz scored an acrobatic header from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s accurate cross to break the deadlock in the 23rd minute. Alexis Mac Allister headed home in the 36th minute to make it 2-0.

The Argentine then conceded possession to James Maddison, who scored five minutes later before Dominik Szoboszlai finished well (45+1′) to give Liverpool a 3-1 lead going into the break.

Salah netted a quickfire brace (54′, 61′) with a pair of close-range finishes. Dejan Kulusevski smashed home a volley in the 72nd minute to give Tottenham hope. Dominic Solanke made it 5-3 eleven minutes later with a clever finish. However, Liverpool sealed the win when Salah assisted Diaz who netted into the bottom-left corner (85′).

FotMob gave Salah a match-high rating of 9.5 for his performance. The 32-year-old scored two goals, provided two assists, created three chances, and landed three shots on target from an attempted seven.

Mohamed Salah was the star of the show after he inspired Liverpool to a dominant 6-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur. The Egyptian King garnered four goal contributions, making him the first player in Premier League history to reach double figures in goals and assists before Christmas.

Salah has been excellent this season for Liverpool, scoring 18 goals and providing 15 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions. In 16 league appearances, he has garnered 15 goals and 11 assists, leading in both categories.

The Reds remain at the top of the league table with 39 points from 16 games, four points above Chelsea with a game in hand. They next face Leicester City at Anfield on Thursday, December 26.
